Topic: Choose a philosopher with whom you most disagree and present why you feel his/her ethical reasoning is flawed.
I chose a philosopher out of the textbook to stay on topic. I chose the
principle as the one I disagree with the most. I have never really been a religious person so this could have a little bit to do with it but for me I feel like this principle and philosophy is very biased in its methods. It doesn’t really have a specific side of things and that makes me very hesitant on whether or not to trust its ways. I think it is very vague and to say that you should favor your reasoning in situations about someone based on your love for them, is like saying one kid can get away with something because the cop is friends with his dad, but the other one is going to a juvenile detention center. I know it states to love all and not just some, but I still feel as if love shouldn’t have anything to do with how you handle a situation in a professional setting or have anything to do with the methods and philosophical principles used in media ethics.
